Bio

Hi, my name is Annie Deng (she/her/hers) and I am currently a second year student studying Psychology with a Biology emphasis. I am a strong advocate for the disability community, who aspires to strengthen community support that focuses on improving services for individuals with disabilities, raising educational awareness of various challenges, and bridging the gaps that need to be addressed in our evolving society. As someone with hearing loss, I understand firsthand what it is like to strive for personal, academic, and professional goals with a disability barrier. Regardless, I am extremely grateful for the support system that I have and the academic opportunities that are open to me. Therefore, I want to take advantage of my resources and extend the same opportunities throughout the community and hopefully beyond! I very much believe in the impactful progression that our committee is making, and helping to advance this meaningful platform to amplify the voices of our members has been such a humbling experience. It is an honor to work alongside DRAC here at UC Davis and I am excited to see what the future holds as we continue to learn from each other and inch towards our goals as a team
